Joanne Pereira
Podiatrist and owner of the Pod Practice
Joanne has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of the Witwatersrand as well as a degree in Podiatry from the University of Johannesburg. Joanne is passionate about podiatry and has a keen interest in nail surgery, biomechanics and sports podiatry as well as podopaediatrics. Joanne has also obtained an accreditation in advanced wound care. Currently she is completing her Masters in Sports Medicine through the university of Melbourne. Joanne spends time with her patients and strives to provide an evidence based and up to date approach to treatment. She always takes pride in her well known friendly and trusted professional service. Joanne is also a mom to two beautiful children, Julian and Sienna. In her spare time she enjoys keeping fit and active and spending time with her family.
Lucas Breedt
Podiatrist
Lucas graduated from the University of Johannesburg with his bachelors of Podiatry in 2016. Lucas is passionate about Podiatry and lower limb health and practices all areas of Podiatric medicine. Lucas has a special interest in biomechanics, biomechanical interventions, surgery of the nail bed, verruca treatments, geriatric and sports medicine. Lucas aims to improve his profession through research, quantifiable data and the development of new technologies and techniques to assess and treat patients more efficiently. Lucas is currently enrolled for post graduate studies in Public Health at the University of Pretoria.
Lucas has been a member of the Podiatry Association of South Africa since he was a student, has served as the Gauteng branch chairman of the association and is currently a member of the Podiatry Association of South Africa’s Executive where he now serves as the National Executive Secretary of the Association.
Lucas is a proud dog dad who in his free time enjoys exercise and any outdoor activity.
